Welcome to the PC Blueprints community! Whether you're here to share your latest build, get advice, discuss an article, or just geek out about PC hardware, we're thrilled to have you. These guidelines apply to all our community spaces, including website comments, forums, and our Discord server.

Our goal is to foster a positive, inclusive, and helpful environment for everyone. Please read and respect these rules to ensure our community remains a great place for all PC enthusiasts.

1. Be Respectful and Courteous

Treat others as you'd like to be treated. We're all here because of a shared interest in PC building.

  • No Personal Attacks, Harassment, or Bullying: Absolutely no insults, threats, doxing, or any form of harassment directed at individuals. Disagree with ideas, not people.
  • Keep it Constructive: If you have criticism, ensure it's delivered in a constructive and polite manner. Focus on the topic, not the user.
  • Respect Privacy: Do not share anyone's personal information without their explicit consent.
  • No Discrimination: We have zero tolerance for discrimination based on race, ethnicity, origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other personal attribute.

2. Stay On-Topic and Add Value

Our community thrives on relevant and helpful discussions about PC building.

  • Contribute Meaningfully: Before posting, consider if your contribution adds value to the conversation. Avoid spamming, excessive self-promotion (unless it's in an appropriate channel like a "Show Your Build" thread), or off-topic chatter in main discussion areas.
  • Use Appropriate Channels: On Discord and forums, use the designated channels or sub-forums for specific topics.

3. Keep it Clean and Appropriate

Let's maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere.

  • No NSFW or Offensive Content: Do not post explicit, obscene, sexually suggestive, or otherwise inappropriate content. This includes text, images, videos, or links.
  • No Excessive Swearing: While a mild expletive might slip, refrain from excessive or aggressive profanity. Keep discussions generally family-friendly.
  • No Illegal Activities: Do not promote, discuss, or link to illegal activities, including piracy, harmful content, or illicit downloads.
  • No Spam or Advertising: Unsolicited advertising, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or excessive self-promotion are not allowed. Sharing helpful links to reputable reviews or product pages is fine, but blatant advertising is not.

4. Be Safe Online

Protect yourself and others.

  • Think Before You Click/Share: Be cautious about clicking unfamiliar links or downloading files shared by unknown users. We are not responsible for content outside our platform.
  • Do Not Share Personal Information: Avoid sharing your own highly sensitive personal information (address, full name, phone number, financial details) in public areas.
  • Report Concerns: If you see something that violates these guidelines or makes you uncomfortable, please report it to our moderators immediately. Do not engage with problematic content or users directly.

5. Follow Moderator Instructions

Our moderation team works hard to keep the community safe and constructive.

  • Respect Decisions: Follow the instructions and decisions of moderators and administrators. They are here to enforce these guidelines and ensure a positive environment.
  • Don't Argue in Public: If you disagree with a moderation decision, please contact the moderator privately or use the designated appeal process. Do not argue about it in public threads or channels.
  • No Loophole Exploiting: Don't try to find loopholes in these rules. The spirit of the guidelines is as important as the letter.

Consequences of Violating Guidelines

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • Content removal.
  • A warning.
  • Temporary suspension from our community spaces.
  • Permanent ban.

The severity of the action taken will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation, determined at the sole discretion of the PC Blueprints moderation team.

By participating in the PC Blueprints community, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Let's work together to make this the best place to talk about PC building!

Happy building!
