Site Transparency

All you need to know and complete transparency about how you support PC Blueprints.

Supported By You, Not Affiliates

PC Blueprints editorial content is directly supported by you, our dear readers. Whether that's through direct memberships or donations, all of our top-quality tech journalism is built entirely off the back of your support, for which we're incredibly thankful.

At PCB we do not intend to utilize any affiliate links across our content at any point. That said, there may be times when one of our community members or team members accidentally shares or posts an affiliate link somewhere on the site or in the community hubs. Once management is aware of this, it will be taken down as soon as viably possible or replaced with a non-affiliated link instead.

From time to time, we may publish an advertorial (editorial paid content) or sponsored content. If this is ever the case, the content will be clearly marked as such, with the "Sponsored" tag on the page, along with clear, bold copy at the top of each article. No matter what, you'll know exactly what content is editorial and what isn't immediately, without failure.

Membership Options

PC Blueprints is very much in its infancy right now, as we continue to build it out. There's a lot of room for growth and a ton of content, events, and more that we have planned for the future.

For the time being, though, it's just one guy and a dream. All the content on the site will be available for free to any and all with access to the site. However, if you'd like, you can sign up to become a Member to comment and gain access to the PCB Discord and regular Blueprints updates, or if you do want to support our growth financially, we do also have a paid subscription tier as well.

To be absolutely clear, aside from some minor Discord privileges and site content suggestions, for the time being Subscriber bonuses are very limited. We're going to expand on this over time with early access to articles, site and contents suggestions, and monthly meetings with the team, plus much much more, but we are a small team at the moment.

Why Trust Us?

No outside body, entity, company, or individual influences how or what we review or recommend here at PC Blueprints. The same goes for all of our buying guides and product recommendations. All written content in our editorial articles remains independent; no funding has been received for any editorial article produced, and no affiliate links are in use.

Our crack team of journalists and freelancers have decades of experience in the industry and knows how to get to the bottom of whether a build, product, or peripheral is good or not. They've dealt with and butted heads with all manner of company execs and marketing sleuths trying to get the upper hand and will continue to do so, as editorial integrity and trust is king above all.

Occasionally we may take trips out to shows and events to see the latest and greatest tech hardware; however, we never let that affect our editorial content in any way, shape, or form. It may be the only way we can get access to these products or test them effectively.

Our review samples themselves are a mixture of both bought and loaned items, provided for by the companies in question; once again, we never let this affect our content in any manner. If the product performs poorly, you can bet your last Maximum PC magazine we'll let you know about it.

Furthermore, our content is written to serve the article first and foremost, not SEO, not Google, not AI; it's for humans first and foremost. What that should mean is smoother quality content and better articles across the board.

Powered by Humans

All of our content site-wide is entirely written, maintained, and managed by humans, not an artificial intelligence in sight. Although our work may be used and absorbed by modern language models (likely without our consent), all of our recommendations and reviews come from hands-on experience, and all copy is handwritten by our team.

To The Point

Every now and then, whether we're at a show or special press event, there may be a product we want to report on that we won't have our usual two-week timescale to test it with. In that case, we'll often publish a "To the Point" review instead.

These articles are exactly what they say on the tin—a quick look by our journalists, their first opinion on a product. Because we can't fully test these products for our allotted time period or to the high standard we expect, we won't give an initial score on the review itself. However, we will endeavor to get the product in for full testing and update the article appropriately at a later date.
