  • Website Comments: Comments submitted on articles, guides, and other website content.
  • Discord Server: All messages, files, and interactions within our official Discord server channels.

3.1. What is Illegal Content? Under the Act, "illegal content" refers to content that constitutes a relevant offence under UK law. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Child sexual abuse material.
  • Content promoting or facilitating terrorism.
  • Content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
  • Threatening communications or content inciting violence.
  • Fraudulent content or promotion of illegal activities (e.g., drug dealing).
  • Intimate image abuse (e.g., revenge pornography).
  • Racially or religiously aggravated public order offences.
  • Content related to cyberflashing.

3.2. Our Approach to Illegal Content PC Blueprints implements the following measures to address illegal content:

  • Risk Assessments: We conduct regular assessments to identify and evaluate the risk of illegal content appearing on our Services, considering our user base and service functionalities.
  • Safety Measures: We implement proportionate systems and processes designed to:
    • Minimise the presence of illegal content.
    • Minimise the length of time illegal content is present.
    • Minimise the dissemination of illegal content.
    • Ensure swift removal of illegal content once detected or reported.
  • Content Moderation: Our moderation team actively reviews reported content and may proactively monitor public areas of the Service for illegal content. We use automated detection tools where appropriate (Discord), alongside a dedicated moderation team.
  • Reporting Mechanism: We provide clear and accessible ways for users to report illegal content either through Discord, or via PC Blueprints contact form (see Section 5 below).
  • Complaints Procedure: We operate a transparent and effective complaints procedure for users (see Section 6 below).
  • Cooperation with Authorities: We will cooperate with law enforcement and relevant authorities in instances of illegal content as required by law.

4. Child Safety

4.1. Assessment of Child Access We have assessed whether our Service is likely to be accessed by children.

Based on our assessment of our content and target audience, our Service is primarily aimed at an adult audience interested in PC building and is not designed for or likely to attract a significant number of child users. Although we recommend a minimum age requirement of 16 years for account creation and encourage parental supervision for younger users, we still maintain general child safety principles where relevant to user-generated content.

4.2. Protecting Children from Harmful Content

Where our Services are likely to be accessed by children, we implement measures to reduce risks identified in our children's risk assessments, including:

  • Content Policies: Our Community Guidelines (linked above) prohibit content explicitly deemed harmful to children, such as content promoting self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, bullying, serious violence, or dangerous stunts.
  • Reporting: We provide accessible reporting mechanisms for content harmful to children.
  • Content Moderation: We take appropriate steps to remove content harmful to children promptly once identified or reported.

5. Reporting Illegal or Harmful Content

We encourage all users to report any content they believe is illegal or harmful, or that violates our Community Guidelines.

  • Website Comments: Please notify the editorial team utilizing either the site's Contact Us page
  • Discord Server: Use Discord's built-in reporting features or directly message a moderator.
  • Direct Email: You can also send a detailed report via email to: help@pcblueprints.com. Please include:
    • A link to the specific content.
    • A clear description of why you believe it is illegal or harmful.
    • Any relevant screenshots or context.

We aim to review all reports promptly and take appropriate action in accordance with our policies and legal obligations.

6. Complaints Procedure

If you wish to complain about our content moderation decisions (e.g., if you believe your content was unfairly removed or your account was unfairly actioned), or if you have any other complaint relating to our online safety practices, please follow our complaints procedure:

  • Submit your complaint: Send a detailed complaint to help@pcblueprints.com.
  • Include: Your username, a detailed explanation of your complaint, and any relevant evidence (e.g., timestamps, screenshots).
  • Our Process: We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to provide a full response within 31 days. We will review your complaint fairly and transparently.

7. Protecting Freedom of Expression and Privacy

When implementing our online safety measures, PC Blueprints is committed to protecting users' legitimate rights to freedom of expression and privacy. We strive to ensure our actions are proportionate and necessary to achieve our safety duties while minimising impact on these rights.

We maintain records of our risk assessments, safety measures, and moderation actions as required by the Act. In line with the Act, we may also publish transparency reports regarding our compliance efforts, though this duty is primarily for larger platforms.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Online Safety Policy periodically to reflect changes in the Online Safety Act, Ofcom guidance, or our internal practices. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our Service and updating the "Last Updated" date.
